Since 1929, our family-owned company has been in the business of manufacturing steel roofing. Although today, the old wooden presses that produced corrugated panels have long been replaced by sophisticated computer-guided rollformers and our product line has greatly evolved, our expertise still remains in providing quality steel building products to our clientele.

                Ideal Roofing’s head office and main manufacturing facility are located in Ottawa, Canada, but our company has recently opened a second plant located in Brampton, Ontario.  This new plant will service the Toronto-Niagara area for flat rolled steel products, and will manufacture our new Wakefield Bridge steel shingle, our new IRD 150 Roof Deck as well as our new ICD 150 + ICD 151 Composite Floor Deck.

                The addition of the IRD 150 + IRD 151 Roof Deck and the ICD 150 + ICD 151 Composite Floor Deck to our steel building product line is in direct response to our customers’ requests for Ideal to offer a full building envelope package for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings.

                Since the beginning of 2008, Ideal Roofing has installed two (2) state-of-the-art multi-blanking lines with levelers in our  Ottawa and Brampton plants to ensure flatness, to respect tight measurement tolerances and to improve our competitiveness in the steel service centre business.  These two (2) new production lines can process in sheet or blanks; galvanized, galvaneal, galvalume pre-painted, and cold-rolled steel for many applications.
